"The Invisible Class"
Documentary Film Screening ~ Refreshments ~ After-discussion
Casa Esther, along with our partners at ESTHER-Fox Valley, Trinity Episcopal, and First Congregational Church in Oshkosh, are happy to announce a free screening of a documentary about homelessness in America entitled The Invisible Class. In today’s world most people have access to video through television and applications like Netflix and Hulu, but attending a live group event is still a special thing. Live events, especially about social justice issues, not only allow us to continue to educate ourselves on modern issues, but gives us a chance to interact with other people, meet our local philanthropic organizations, and coalition build. Whether you’re a friend to our organization, a student, someone who works in a similar field, or just a fan of movies, this event is for you.
Film Screening: Wednesday, July 19th
First Congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd Oshkosh, WI
6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.)
7:30 p.m. talkback about homelessness in Oshkosh
There will be light refreshments and snacks afterwards and we will have an information area.
The screening is free and open to the public. Cash donations will be accepted to benefit Casa Esther’s rental assistance program. Items for use at the new Day by Day Warming Shelter will also be collected.
Suggested items to donate include:
Fantastik Spray Cleaner
USB Wall Plugs for charging phones
Reusable Water Bottles (do not need to be new, fewer pieces to clean the better)
